DAY 1- So I woke up this morning with a headache. I think it is from being so worried about what the day will bring. Usually I would use the headache as an excuse, but not today. This morning I had a scrambled egg with a little salt and pepper, a slice of whole wheat toast with a small coating of butter, and 16 oz of water. I feel full and content but it is only been an hour since I ate.
So lunchtime was a little bit of a struggle. I did get a salad which consisted of lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, hard boiled eggs, cheddar cheese, and bleu cheese. I topped it off with croutons and ranch dressing. I also purchased a banana for my afternoon snack. I think I waited too long to eat because I was starving!!! I devoured the salad and without realizing it I also ate my banana.
It's now almost 2 and I am hungry again. : ( I think I am going to get a small snack and some more water. My plan for dinner is to go to a great friend's house and eat her grilled chicken sausage and veggies meal. After dinner, we are going to walk the kiddies to the park.
Your doing awesome...I am also on a diet and let me tell you anything with protein and fiber will keep you satisfied. I try to have a yogurt between breakfast and lunch and between lunch and dinner:) Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Steph! I definitely need to incorporate a snack in between breakfast and lunch.
DeleteHi Crystal...looks like you had a nice start... One of the reasons I love ISagenix is because of the protein shakes. They are super meal replacements that are only 240 calories and provide you with 23 grams of whey protein, carbs, good fats and over 130 vit and min that you just cant get from a self prepared meal! They fill you up, energize you and replenish your cells with nutrients. I usually start my day with one for breakfast and then snack on raw almonds and apple slices in between breakfast and lunch. Lunch I try to make my larger meal of the day ..and again snack in between lunch and dinner every 2 hours or so. A small snack of about 50-100 calories. Its important to helping burn fat! After dinner I may have 1 more small snack, but ideally its good to give your body a 12 hour window of no eating so it can go into detox mode and clean up all the toxins that it has taken in.
ReplyDeleteCouple tips and if I get annoying you have my permission to tell me to quiet down! WHen you do scrambled eggs, use mostly egg whites... less fat, high protein..filling too. Also try a little almond butter or sunflower seed butter spread on your toast.. its yummy and worth the calories because they have good nutrients. Also for dressing..anything creamy is usually loaded with unhealthy fats..try to go with something low fat or that has olive oil/ vinegar. I love apple cider dressing - little apple cider, vinegar, little honey, little mustard, olive oil, salt and shake it! Also stay super hydrated... you want to be tinkling about every hour and when its clear that means your hydrated. If its dark.... your not drinking enough.
Have a super day tomorrow!!!
